VOL. 3

Good morning kc, happy Sunday everyone! Who’s excited about the holidays? I know I am! Aren’t you glad we have such talented artists here in kc so we can give our loved ones the most special unique gifts for Christmas? Speaking of, has anyone been to any events yet?

Garden Village hosted its Holiday Bazaar last night, we heard @resinartbymarisa and @handcraftsbyjay_ there selling some beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces + many more local artists/ small businesses! Another local event this weekend was @createspacekc with their Very Merry Pop-Up, during which we saw @garol_art and several more small businesses set up shop! Strawberry Swing’s Holiday Cheers Market was moved inside yesterday, but was still just as much fun, featuring a show from The Canaries!

There were many more events thrown in Kc this weekend, so if we missed one please let us know in the comments! If you went to any of them, let us know, how was your experience. How did seeing everyone do what they love to make you feel? I know for one I am so proud of everyone in our City, and I cannot wait to see what else is in store for the future!

Last week we were honored to interview the creator of Letters by Maude, Katelyn Maude! So if you missed it we highly recommend the read, we also have 40+ more artists we have gotten the chance to interview if you're looking for some inspiration, be sure to check them out!

“The main part of becoming a full-time creative is to know that what your doing is worth every bit of hardship that comes because it’s better than not following your passion.”

“My advice is to try not to care about social media engagement. Your art is always better than the amount of “likes” it receives!”

Katie Mabry van Dieren

“ My advice for artists and makers is to not give up and specifically, make sure you are interacting with your clients/customers! I know as artists, many of us are introverts and we get nervous talking about our work, but people want to support us and know your story so don’t be afraid to share it. It’s why they buy a gorgeous handmade necklace instead of one from Amazon: because they want to support you. So share your story, and your process, and don’t be afraid to interact with your shoppers ❤️”

This year for Christmas with Inside we have chosen the nonprofit organization KCIC to do a fundraiser for! If you're feeling extra giving this holiday season, we would appreciate the support, even if it's $1! We plan to do this every Christmas season, so if there's a nonprofit you'd like to see us fundraise for please let us know below or email us at

As always, thank you to everyone who participated in this week's wrap-up we appreciate you more than you know! Another huge thank you to YOU reading this, thank you for taking the time out of your day to support our local Artists and Small Businesses we have here in Kc!
