Good afternoon kc, today must be a special day bc we are coming to y’all with our SECOND ARTicle of the day!

INSIDE w/ KC ARTIST: Chase Ringwall

WHAT INSPIRES YOUR CREATIVITY?

“I’m inspired by small features, I like to make them the focal point of my work. It’s the little things that make us unique, I attempt to pull those to the surface.

WHAT DOES YOUR ARTWORK REPRESENT?

“My art represents the voices of those around me. Every piece is inspired by the people I know, even the Frog paintings. “

HOW DO YOU MAKE IT IN THE ART COMMUNITY?

“ I had to stop caring how often I created. Once it stopped feeling like a chore, and I stopped caring about those dang Instagram stats, my art and attitude both improved. “

WHAT DOES ART MEAN TO YOU, AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR SOCIETY?

“Art is a necessity. It’s how we digest our own lives and the lives of others, I feel it breeds empathy.”

HOW DOES BEING FROM KC AFFECT YOUR WORK IN THE ART COMMUNITY?

“I moved to KC in 2020, and the large yet tight-knit feel of the community inspired all of my early work with abstract faces and architecture. The city has its own artistic attitude. “

WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT FAVORITE ART MEDIUM?

Changes all the time. I’m currently loving a mixture of 9B graphite and Artist Crayons. “

LASTLY, BUT NEVER LEAST A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF?

I’m another busy brain with far too many hobbies, I’m only relaxed when completely engaged in a project.”
